Kate Friday
Kate is an Advanced Apprentice in the Studio Body Logic Comprehensive Pilates Training Program.
After a knee injury, Kate started looking into alternate forms of exercise to improve her overall flexibility and strength. Fortunately, she discovered Studio Body Logic in Del Ray and started taking Beginner Reformer and Beginner Mat Classes in 2010, which not only helped her successfully rehab her knee but start engaging in activities she was previously unable to do. Due to her own positive experiences with Pilates and after a recent career change, Kate decided to become an Apprentice in the Studio Body Logic Comprehensive Pilates Training Program.
Kate lives with her husband, ten-year-old son, and Havanese dog in Old Town Alexandria. She is a graduate of Wellesley College (B.A.), Harvard University Graduate School and Education (Ed.M), and the George Washington Graduate School of Education and Human Development (Ed.D.). Prior to starting the apprentice program, Kate worked for over twenty years at the U.S. Department of Education’s Office of Special Education and Rehabilitative Services.
In her free time, Kate enjoys cycling with her family in Old Town, hiking and taking Nature Walks with her husband and son in Shenandoah County and visiting the many museums in the DC area with her son.
Kate teaches in the Alexandria Studio on multiple days.
